I'm looking forward to reading the story that will go along with this one. She instantly intrigues me with her solemn tranquility in a world of beautiful colors and creatures. Framing the composition with that kind of birds in perspective is a stroke of genius. Beautiful stuff, Julie!
I really can't win, can I? There will be sketches for each piece, plus a mini stories for each. I wanted to post the artwork so people buying giclees could see what they were getting, and to help keep interest going in the kickstarter, as well as allow people who can't afford to buy anything a chance to see it. I do realize it's not leaving hidden art for the book, but... at the time this seemed the better option.
No, I just meant it's hard to make everyone happy. Every step of the way on this project there's been people wanting something done differently, so I keep changing things, but that just makes things bad in other ways, and it's been difficult trying to figure out how best to do things and keep everyone happy when it seems like every decision has a downside.
Ah, nah, I'm not trying to be a b*tch. I just get really excited from the thumbs and small pics on kickstarter and then instantly see the larger version on deviantart, so I feel like I see everything in all it's digital glory, but even still, having a solid, tangible printed book will be a delight in itself. I can't wait You do it how you wanna do. After the first book and it's production, you'll be better prepared for book 2
Years? Wow! That's amazing. I love all of the detail on the birds and the floor. And she has the prettiest wheelchair. I have a few pictures I've worked on slowly over the years... maybe I should finish them.
