Just playing around with some new painting methods. I checked out Andrew Jones' tutorials over at conceptart.org, and finally Painter X is starting to make sense and actually be useful! ;) I've struggled with Painter X for ages (I could never get the brushes to do what I wanted them to, like I could with Painter 6.1) and hadn't used it in months because it just wasn't worth the hassle. I'm finally starting to get the hang of some of the tools now.

EDIT: Thanks for the DD!

I don't know why but this reminds me of a show I used to watch when I was a kid of this robotic protagonist who would go on adventures with his/her friends (I don't remember what gender it was, haha). Your shading and lighting techniques are just phenomenal. Everything from the intricate veins and slippery skin of the fish encasing their inner machinery, to the drifting autumn-colored hair of the girl contrasting with the background of disappearing fish. And I like how you not only made the fish blend away as you look farther back into the picture but they are of different shades and pattern such as the few striped ones, adding variety. All the work you put into the details and lighting is truly candy to my eye. This is a very futuristic yet relaxing and charming piece of artwork that I would actually enjoy hanging on my wall. Every time I look at this I notice something new I had not noticed before. Beautiful job and keep up your good work with your amazing talent. You send dreams!
