Erm. This drawing is impressive, I hope you got a very good grade on your facial anatomy and expressions class and I wish I could draw as good as you.

Your work on Good Omens is absolutely gorgeous and amazingly true to the characters.
I'm probably going to a Neil Gaiman signing next week-end, and I wish I had a copy of the book with these on top for him to sign. I'll try to print a postcard of it.

Yes, these two are absolutely brilliant in the book-- I can offer no greater compliment to your art, I believe, than saying you have done them full justice here!

All three pictures in the character collections are outstanding! I like your quote selections, as well.

I think this is the most accurate to their description and the way I visualize them that I've seen yet. Aziraphale completely fits the picture of "a bit portly gay uncle" description that he is given, and Crowley as well.

Thank you.

(Not that bishounen, thin Aziraphale isn't pretty, but it's just not nice and accurate, is all.)

Brilliant :)

Totally love their expressions. Your GO art is probably the best I have seen.

A story I'm considering writing.
juliedillon Featured By Owner Feb 19, 2013
Well, they are existing characters from a story that's already written and well known, so it might be better to seek out original art instead.

I love your portrayal of them! They aren't young, they look like they've seen the world.

Oh God, I love this soooooo much!! I'm halfway through Good Omens right now, and I'm totally and equally in love with Aziraphale and Crowley. Right from the start, they immediatly became part of my Top 20 Favourite Characters Of All Time, right next to Sam Vimes and Angua von Uberwald and ASOIAF's Jon Snow. Terry Pratchett is literally insanely good!!!! (and so is Neil Gaiman)

This is perfect.
This is exactly how I always pictured Aziraphale and Crowley. I like how Aziraphale looks relatively harmless, but his expression looks almost like he's laughing at a joke you don't know.
Or just making fun of Crowley, who is smirking in his characteristically melodramatic way.
This is absolutely amazing, because this is how I see them. I can't see them any other way, now.

First of all, youīve done wonderful work! <3
i love them too x3

Secondly, iīm German and i finished reading Good Omens yesterday. When i was about to buy the book, i still thought of buying the English version, instead of the German.
i bought the German version. and regretted it immediately after reading the first pages. The reason is, that the translation failed so hard at many parts. And in my opinion the worst part was this description of aziraphale ( "Erziraphael" in German .__. ) i waited so long for.

"that he was English, that he was intelligent..."
yep, this two things were still right translated in German.
but the third description said: " that he was as CRAFTY as a tree full of monkeys on... " and when i read it, i was angry, because this shitty translator had just HAD to see, that "crafty" ( "verschmitzt" ) instead of "gay" just donīt match. Especially, when you read the next few lines, where itīs definitely confirmed that the third line of this description is about the (a- ) sexuality of him.

and many other parts were ruined like that >_>
itīs just sad... but luckily, when iīm searching for pics of Good Omens i often find another right written quote C:

And third, i hope you and any other Good Omens - fan can understand my anger and my ( bad? ) texting. if there are any grammar- or other mistakes (except the non-capital "I" - that "i" write for a reason in small ) feel free to correct me.
Shyshapca Featured By Owner Apr 29, 2011
Yes, I know what you mean. That's pretty much the case with the Hungarian translation. It' so bad, that I really want to cry every time I see the book in a store. Half of the jokes and references (to other books, movies, persons...) are lost, the other half are bollocksed up (is it really a word, or I just made that up?) by the translator. And I wont even start about the bad title.
I bought the German version the last time I was in Wien (and damn it I WILL read it, 'cause it's embarassing, that after 12 years of learning the language I've forgotten so much, that I can't utter a simple sentence right). I don't see either, how Aziraphale became Erziraphael - but it's cute in a way, that Crowley calls him Erzi :)
Anyway, the moral of all of this is: let's be stuck with the English version. That's the only way one can really fall IN LOVE with Good Omens.
SueyZaid Featured By Owner Apr 29, 2011
haha, yeah the title.. that was something i totally supplanted already! xDD "GOOD OMENS" - german: "EIN gutes Omen". yeah. thatīs it... >__>
and donīt worry... language, that isnīt used regularly, is always damned to be forgotten xD i learned 4 years russian and now after 2 years without lesson i can only remember a few words/sentences that i wouldnīt use in a -normal- conversation. xD

yup, that nickname of him is the only thing, that was neat in this awful translation x3

to your last 2 Sentences: AMEN!

strange. i always liked the thought of aziraphale being like ewan mcgregor and crowley played by hugh grant.
